Bandanna Club© After School Youth Program

Our Bandanna Club©  aims to give youth (8 and up) a well rounded horsemanship education. Students will learn about all aspects of horse care, training and riding. They will have the opportunity to work up the levels and earn the coordinating colored bandannas (much like the belts in karate).

We are currently offering an 8 week after school course, after completing the "boot camp", youth can test for their first level bandanna and then continue into group or private riding lessons.

Courses meet once a week for 8 weeks.; sessions are 2 hours long . We keep each course limited to a small number of students (3-4) to ensure a quality education for each new rider. In each session students will:

  • Help to keep the barn area clean
  • Have a knowledge based lesson (breeds of horses, how to check vital signs, etc.)
  • Groom and saddle their horses
  • Work with the horses on the ground (leading & showmanship)
  • RIDE!!!
